rNMR is an add-on package developed for R, a free statistical computing envirionment. Versions of rNMR are available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Unix using the links on the right. If you are new to rNMR please review the installation instructions below.
The rNMR package requires a relatively recent version of R (2.8 or higher). R can be downloaded free of charge from www.r-project.org. Linux/Unix users should read R's installation instructions carefully to ensure that the most recent version of R is downloaded. Platform-specific instructions for installing the rNMR package are given below.
Windows
- Install R (2.8 or higher).
- Download rNMR for Windows.
- Run the rNMR installation program.
Linux(Ubuntu)
- Install R (2.8 or higher)
- Download rNMR for Linux. In case you're unsure which version to download, chances are you're using a 32-bit system. If the installer doesn't open, you probably downloaded the wrong one.
- You must change the the file permissions for the setup file before attempting to open it. You can do this by right-clicking on the file, selecting properties, and checking the execute option in the permissions tab or by typing "chmod +x" and then the filename in the terminal.
- Run the rNMR installation program.
rNMR is supported for Ubuntu version 9.04 (Jaunty Jackelope) and later only. rNMR may run on other distributions but we can not gaurantee its performance. This is an issue we hope to better address in the near future.
Mac OS X
- Install R (2.8 or higher)
- Download rNMR for Mac OS X.
- Run the rNMR installation program.
rNMR requires the use of a two-button mouse (CTRL+'click' is not sufficient). On most systems, the single button mouse can be configured to operate with a second button, check your systm settings. Also, rNMR is only compatible with versions of Mac OS X that come with X11 preinstalled (version 10.5 and higher). rNMR may run on older versions if X11 is installed separately, but we can not gaurantee its performance.
Please refer to the rNMR manual for information on using rNMR.
